At In-depth Wellness, we focus on helping our clients awaken and develop their own intrinsic resources for supporting their healing process. We provide mindfulness techniques, somatic approaches and other psychological strategies that empower our clients to connect with and fortify their own internal strengths.
Past trauma is frequently a contributing factor or the underlying cause of other psychological ailments, such as anxiety, depression or substance abuse. By addressing the trauma and exploring how it affects a client, we are able to minimize the harmful effects it has on the individual. Over time, the symptoms of secondary, trauma-related conditions can also become less intense and easier to manage. As such, we are always assessing for possible past trauma and aim at working with it directly.
Sometimes, life can be as challenging as it is beautiful. That’s why we believe in helping clients find joy in their lives while respecting and acknowledging the pain they may bear. Pain and suffering can often cause us to miss the natural moments of joy and goodness in our lives. Recognizing happiness and learning to connect with goodness are important aspects of the healing process. No matter how much suffering there is, you can always find small moments of goodness. Using the principles of somatic experiencing and neuroscience, we help our clients look for and find such joy—not to mask or deny their suffering—but to build a foundation for profound healing.
In Depth supports a modern-holistic approach. We promote mindfulness, building resilience and cultivating inner resources. Our focus is on wellness and developing inner strength rather than pathology oriented. Non-judgmental and able to work with populations within a from various cultural and social backgrounds, differing belief systems, and a range of sexual and gender orientations.
Does your mind constantly race? Do you regularly have a flurry of negative, catastrophic thoughts that fill you with fear and panic? Do you struggle at work, find yourself unable to concentrate and obsess over minor things?
Is it a struggle to get through the day? Do you find yourself trapped in negative thinking? Are you consumed with feelings of self-hatred and doubt? Perhaps you are haunted by a sense of dread and nothing seems to soothe you.
Do you find yourself perpetually questioning the decisions you make? Are you worried that the person you know or think you are isn’t the person that others see? Do you feel like there is a gap between who you are expected to be and who you want to be?
Have you experienced a traumatic event that causes you constant fear, anxiety or apprehension? Do you feel a sense of persistent hopeless or grief that impairs your ability to function at work or maintain healthy relationships?
Do you want to take your recovery to the next level? You may have been clean and sober for a few months or years, and you may or may not be in 12 step groups as a way to support you. However you may feel you want to get more out of life.
You cannot make yourself grow; you can only cease to interfere. You cannot make yourself happy; you can only stop your judgments.
Growth and expansion are natural; they are the life force itself.
